Disaster Recovery Training

Find out about Disaster Recovery Training and business continuity plan training to help your organization deal with potential disasters.

Disaster Recovery is the process of recovering from an emergency (whether natural disaster such as earthquakes or malicious pre-planned events such as cyber attack) whilst following standard procedures to resume critical business functions. This set of procedures or disaster recovery plan (DRP) can also be referred to as a business continuity plan (BCP) or business process contingency plan (BPCP). It details how an organization is to deal with potential disasters.

In IT, there are more and more systems and infrastructure to deal with now so the DRP or BCP can be very complex depending on the organization or business affected. Hence, the training of those individuals carrying out the Disaster Recovery process needs to be thorough and very detailed.

Disaster Recovery Training should provide equal emphasis on both a theoretical and real world experience so that the student gains adequate knowledge to react and deal with any particular scenario.

The areas that are covered include:

Initiation and Project Management

Risk Evaluation & Control

Business Impact Analysis BIA

Developing Strategies

Emergency Preparedness and Response

BC Plan Development and Implementation

Awareness and Training Programs

Maintenance Policies

Crisis Communications

Cyber Attacks

Pandemics

The focus of the course is professional Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning (DRBCP) for protection of both a company's assets and its employees.

With malicious attacks ever on the increase, businesses cannot ignore the threats to their business and must ensure they and their employees are sufficiently trained and ready to deal with whatever situation is presented to them.

We are interested in learning about disaster planning, as we would like to offer this service to businesses in our area that would become potential customers.

I would like to know if you offer a class that would help one of our staff members to develop a program that we could market.
